Get in touch.

I appreciate that getting in touch with a psychotherapist can sometimes feel like quite a big step, particularly if you've never had therapy before.

You may have questions about how it works, whether it's right for you, or simply want to find out a little more before making a decision.

Whatever has brought you here, you're very welcome to get in touch.

BOOKING SYSTEM

This is an example of the booking system.

I offer a free, no-obligation introductory telephone call, usually lasting around ten minutes. This gives us an opportunity to talk briefly about what's brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to explore and whether I might be able to help. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about how I work.

There's no expectation that you should know exactly what to say, or that you need to make a decision about starting therapy during the call.

It's simply an opportunity for us to speak and see whether we feel we could work together.

FREE INTRODUCTORY CALL · APPROX. 10 MINUTES

PREVIEW ONLY · APPOINTMENT TIMES ARE EXAMPLES

Let's have a conversation.

If you'd rather make contact by email, that's absolutely fine.

You may have a particular question, want to explain a little about your circumstances or simply prefer to write rather than speak initially.

I'll be happy to hear from you.

Online and telephone therapy

For those who prefer to work remotely, I also offer online and telephone appointments.

This may be more convenient if you live further away, have difficulty travelling or simply feel more comfortable attending sessions from your own surroundings.

We can discuss which arrangement might be most appropriate during our initial conversation.

after our first conversation

Taking things at your own pace.

If, following our introductory call, we both feel that working together might be appropriate, we can arrange an initial consultation lasting up to 90 minutes.

This gives us more time to explore your circumstances, experiences and what has brought you to therapy.

It's also an opportunity for you to get a better understanding of how I work.

If we decide to continue, we can then agree on regular appointments, either face to face or remotely.

There's no obligation to take things further after our introductory conversation.

A FINAL THOUGHT

You don't need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.

Sometimes knowing where to begin can be one of the most difficult parts.

Whether there's something particular you want to explore, or you've simply been feeling that things aren't quite right, we can start by talking about it.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Stephen
